Workshop med Britta Hauenschild
Britta Hauenschild is practicing Kum Nye since 1988 and teaching for the German Nyingma Zentrum in Cologne since 1994. She has found great value and possibilities in this technique for herself and enjoys sharing them.
Kum Nye is an old Tibetan healing art. The form that you will get to know in this seminar has first been presented by the Tibetan lama Tarthang Tulku in the 1970s. Tarthang Tulku has put great effort in making the teachings of his strong tradition accessible and understandable for Westerners. In Kum Nye, relaxation does not mean what it commonly does: not doing anything, becoming dull and saggy, daydreaming, under-focus, sleep…
Instead, this is a very active and enriching way of recharging, nourishing ourselves, learn about our bodies, our minds and our energy, about how our minds and bodies work together. When we do this, the abundance of life opens up and we can get an idea, how satisfying our life can be.
The means we use to arrive there are: movements (often pretty slow), breathing practices, mantra, self- massage, silent sitting. They support us in learning, how to feel deeply and get into contact with our bodily experience, and that is the door to relaxation.
